In 2006, she founded Amstel Advocaten, then located at Amstelveld - the inspiration for the firm's name. With her in-depth knowledge of the real estate market, pragmatic approach, and strong negotiation skills, she always knows how to determine the right strategy.  \n\nAnnemarie enjoys assisting her clients, including (commercial) tenants and landlords, real estate professionals, Owners' Associations, and individuals. Her specializations include tenancy law, real estate law, neighborly law, construction law, Owners' Association law, and the purchase and sale of real estate. \n\nPrior to her career as a lawyer, Annemarie worked as a real estate expert (leasehold and land prices) at Ground and Development of the Municipality of Amsterdam between 1994 and 1998. In addition, she has completed both the real estate agent training and the professional mediator training. She is also a registered intervisor and discussion leader at the Dutch Bar Association.  \n\nIn her free time, Annemarie enjoys traveling and sailing. After graduating in 2020 from Leiden University, he completed his master's in Real Estate with the thesis \"Acquisitive prescription of immovable property: mitigating the negative side effects\" (grade 8.5). \n\nAfter his studies, Joris gained extensive work experience as a legal assistant at Vereniging Eigen Huis. There, he was able to further develop his expertise in real estate law, particularly in the areas of tenancy law, homeowners' association law, neighbor law, and construction law. \n\nJoris is also a passionate chess player, plays guitar in a band, practices yoga, and enjoys barefoot running.
